Easter bunnies

Easter is upon us and the reason for this writing is to discuss the favorite Easter pet the bunny rabbit. For the last 2 weeks the sales of rabbits chicks and ducklings have been through the roof or maybe the hutch?

Anyhow a lot of meat rabbit growers I notice are selling their just weaned babies as pets. Really that is a smart ideal as there is no feed cost in a recently weaned bun.

On the opposite hand the new owners have a rabbit that should grow out to 5-6 pounds in 12 weeks. After 12 weeks the new has way since wore off of Thumper. So what do you do? Eat the rabbit? That is an option, when my son was very young he watched one of the Bugs Bunny cartoons where the king wants huasenepher for his dinner. So we caught, cleaned, and cooked fried rabbit with biscuits and gravy, oh and this was done outside, it was what he wanted.

The rest of the rather long booklet will be available shortly on Amazon.
