Let Me Make Buying A Home Simple For You

By Alex Johnson

This is probably the biggest writer-block inducing article I've ever had to produce. The reason is simple - this is a subject that all has been written and said about. To top it all off, anything I could say is something you already know yourself. All I am going to do is just remind you of the things you already know.

It might seem like this is then useless, but you might be wrong. In fact, most people who get good results in life are people who keep re-reminding themselves of the fundamentals, and then doing them right. This is the case when it comes to the issue of real estate as well.

Ok then, what are these universal fundamentals that are so key? Well, let's look at the psychology of the seller first. It is a basic generalization that holds true in most cases that the seller is almost always attempting to sell the home for more than it's worth. In practical terms, it means it's safe for you to assume that all sellers are lying when they say what their price is.

You also have to realize that just like you are trying to gather tips on buying a home, they are gathering advice on how to sell a home. This means they will use every possible trick in the book against you, or on you.

The most common thing they will do is that they will maximize any tour they give you of the home and go out of their way to make the home as stunning as possible, and some can be as deceptive as to try and manipulate you into thinking you're getting more than you are. Please do not be carried away by a friendly demeanor and ask hard questions about everything.

The final thing I'd have to say is that I always assume the person I'm writing for is already using the services of a Realtor. Anyone else is asking for trouble and asking for a bad deal. So please be smart and hire one before you do anything else.
