Pig rotor tilling

I can see the wheels spinning in your head, pig rotor tilling. Well no worries as I will explain how to do this. Almost every garden needs to be tilled, there are many ways, like hand tilling, buying or renting, a rotor tiller, or paying someone to till your garden spot.

Well here is a better way, years ago i got a free potbelly pig from free cycle, i put her in a pen that was about 80 feet by 20 feet. It was grown up at least 6 feet high. Rosie, (named cause i thought she looked like Rosie O'Donnell) was installed in the garden pen, in 3 weeks she had it ate down and turned over. What a deal! Why you asked? well i put out no money on tilling other than the gas to get Rosie, she cleaned out the garden pen, and fertilized it.

The bonus was that Rosie was expecting, so we got a litter of piggies to boot. More garden pens were added so Rosie and family just rotated through the pens, cleaning out and fertilizing the soil as they went. A couple of the young piggies we butchered and put up. some were sold, and a female was left with Rosie.

Enough produce was raised form the garden to pay for the pigs feed what little was bought, and the pigs got plenty of left over produce and kitchen waste. Enough produce was raise to supply 6 families with all they could use that year.

So to recap, free pig(s), free tilling, free pork products, sounds like a winner to me!
So watch the adds and get you a pig to till your garden.
